Brunel Business Park, St Austell
Value: £3,930,000
Completion: December 2006
Wellers' Role: Employers Agent
Planning
Supervisor
The project, completed in December 2006 on behalf of South West Regional Development Agency, was for the provision of 2000 m2 of modern,
high tech offices with associated parking. The development was on a brownfield site on a former redundant railway siding and formed
part of the scheme known as “The Village”, a mixed-use project a few minutes walk from St Austell itself.
Brunel Business Park, given
its proximity to residential and other commercial units, has been designed and constructed to compliment the adjoining properties
and forms a fundamental part of its urban regeneration. The construction provides for energy efficient and sustainable units within
an urban environment using both local and contemporary design features.
The completed scheme is in close proximity to existing community
facilities located in Polkyth Road, providing a unique and sustainable working environment within the overall development and takes
its inspiration from the traditional engine sheds built during the Victorian period by the Great Western Railway.
